The Federal Government has traced approximately N83 billion in cryptocurrency and fiat currency allegedly funneled towards recent nationwide protests, according to The PUNCH.

This action, confirmed by a senior government official, aims to cut off the financial support sustaining the protests and disrupt the networks behind them.

Sources indicate that the frozen funds were linked to various shell companies and proxy accounts associated with prominent opposition politicians and activists.

As part of the crackdown on protest financiers, security agencies have launched a manhunt for several key figures accused of orchestrating the demonstrations.

Reports suggest covert operations are underway to track and arrest suspected protest leaders, raising concerns about civil liberties and the potential for heightened tensions in an already volatile political climate.
