Renowned Historian Awarded Honorary Degree.

The esteemed African historian and scholar, Professor Toyin Falola, was granted an honorary degree by the University of Mktar in Benue State on a Saturday.

He was also the convocation guest lecturer during the ceremony, receiving the title of Doctor of Letters (D. Litt). The event brought together scholars, students, and guests from across the nation.

This prestigious recognition reflects his significant contributions to academia and serves as a testament to his lasting influence on the field of African Studies.

Prof. Falola’s lecture, titled Religion and Values, delved into the intricate connection between religion and the ethical foundation of society.

His profound insights and unique perspective held the audience captivated, leaving an indelible impression on those in attendance.

Professor Falola is renowned for his extensive body of work, which includes numerous books, essays, and lectures that have profoundly impacted the understanding of African history and culture on a global scale.
