A devastating car accident occurred in Egypt, claiming the lives of 35 individuals and leaving over 50 others injured. The collision involved a bus and multiple cars on an Egyptian highway.

This tragic incident underscores the common occurrence of traffic accidents in Egypt, often exacerbated by poorly maintained roads and a lack of adherence to traffic regulations.

The Cairo-Alexandria desert road near Wadi al-Natrun witnessed this horrific collision, resulting in the loss of 35 lives, with 18 individuals perishing in the flames.

Approximately 53 people sustained injuries. Distressing images circulating on social media revealed a toppled lorry blocking the fast lane on a charred road surface.

Further down the road, a severely damaged bus, minibus, and numerous cars, some still engulfed in flames, painted a grim scene. Onlookers gathered by the roadside, observing the aftermath as thick black smoke billowed into the sky.
