Peter Obi’s post-Supreme Court loss actions have been clarified by the Labour Party campaign organization. Contrary to rumors, he did not go into hiding after his defeat.
The Supreme Court recently concluded the 171-day legal battle regarding the election of President Bola Tinubu. The court rejected the election appeals of both Peter Obi and the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar.
In the leading judgment delivered by Justice Inyang Okoro, the court refused to consider the academic records from Chicago State University, which Atiku sought to present as fresh evidence in his allegation of certificate forgery against the ex-Lagos governor.
The other justices on the panel concurred with the lead judgment, ultimately dismissing the appeals of Atiku and Obi.
