Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, expressed his renewed focus on his administration’s agenda for the country’s economic prosperity after the recent Supreme Court verdict confirming his electoral victory.
He emphasized that distractions were now behind him. During his meeting with the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, he welcomed the opportunity to strengthen ties with Germany, recognizing the potential for partnership between Africa’s largest economy and Europe’s largest economy.
Tinubu also acknowledged the need for Nigeria to catch up in clean energy and expressed his administration’s commitment to that goal.
This meeting continued the longstanding diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Germany, dating back to 1978, and further emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two nations.
