In response to the escalating issue of cultism and violence among their community’s youth, the Mafoluku Youths organized a peaceful demonstration to spotlight the perils of these activities.
Their rally, which transpired due to the leadership of Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, sought to enlighten young people about the detrimental consequences of cultism and the havoc it wreaks on their community.
A startling statistic revealed that over 30 youths had lost their lives to cult-related incidents from January to October 2023. The message is clear: let’s unite against this disturbing trend and put an end to the violence.
In addition, the community is determined to work alongside the police to ensure that arrested cultists face proper prosecution, aiming to restore peace and security in Oshodi-Isolo.
Together with the local government chairman’s support for a local vigilante group, they are taking collective action to make a meaningful change.
