The recent kidnapping victims in Ekiti State, comprising five schoolchildren and three staff members from The Apostolic Faith Group of Schools in Emure Ekiti, have been released from the hospital following comprehensive medical care.
Enduring six days of harrowing captivity, the victims, abducted on their way home from school, faced unimaginable fear and uncertainty.
However, swift action by authorities and collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies led to their rescue and immediate medical attention.
Under the dedicated care of medical professionals, the victims received treatment addressing both physical and emotional trauma.
Dr. Oyebanji Filani, the Commissioner for Health, expressed profound relief at their successful rescue, while Prof. Kayode Olabanji, Chief Medical Director of EKSUTH, ensured comprehensive care for their recovery.
After a week of specialized treatment, the victims have been discharged, reuniting with their eagerly awaiting families.
This outcome highlights the resilience of the victims and the commitment of professionals and law enforcement.
While scars may linger, the victims’ discharge signifies a new chapter of hope. The community remains united in supporting their recovery and seeking justice for the perpetrators.
