Akwanga Council Boss Safiyanu Isah Andaha and four others have regained freedom after reportedly paying a ransom of 10 million naira to their kidnappers.
The release took place behind an obsolete filling station on Bayan Dutse road outside Andaha town, though authorities have not confirmed the ransom or provided additional details.
The captives, initially taken by young Fulani men, were brought to Adamu Custom’s residence in Andaha, later escorted to FMC Keffi under heavy security.
While the Police Public Relations Officer denies ransom payment, stating their release resulted from sustained police pressure, caution is urged in reporting without thorough verification.
