The Labour Party in Imo State alleges that electoral materials were hijacked and diverted to a private residence in Orlu Local Government Area, as well as claiming that materials for Okigwe LGA were taken to its headquarters.
The All Progressive Congress in Imo State, however, dismisses these allegations. The spokesperson for the Labour Party governorship candidate, Chibuikem, asserts that the materials were diverted by thugs affiliated with the ruling APC.
In Orlu, he claims materials for seven wards were taken to the Traditional Ruler’s palace.
The APC spokesperson, Cajetan Duke, denies the party’s involvement in electoral crimes.
