Brazilian singer Darlyn Morais, aged 28, tragically lost his life on October 31 due to a spider bite at his residence in the northeastern city of Miranorte, Brazil. Morais developed a severe allergic reaction to the spider bite on his face, leading to his hospitalization on Sunday and his passing on Monday, November 6.
His 18-year-old stepdaughter also suffered a spider bite but is in stable condition after being hospitalized, as reported by Morais’ wife, Jhullyenny Lisboa, to the Brazilian news outlet, G1. Lisboa mentioned that Morais exhibited symptoms of fatigue and noticed the color of the bruise on his face changing in response to the bite.
Morais initially sought medical attention during the week in Miranorte, where he received treatment and was discharged on Friday.
According to Lisboa, he experienced weakness and a darkening of his face on the same day, October 31, prompting his admission to Palmas General Hospital on Sunday.
Morais had a passion for music from a young age, starting his journey in the music world at 15.
He specialized in forró, a popular genre in Brazil’s northeast region characterized by the accordion, zabumba, and metal triangle. His music career included a small, three-man band with his brother and a friend.
