American singer Catherine Ipsan, widely known as Cat Jenice, has sadly passed away at the age of 31.
The announcement of Janice’s passing was made by her family on Instagram. According to her family, Janice succumbed to sarcoma cancer early on Wednesday.
Sarcomas, rare malignancies, can develop in soft tissues including muscles, fat, blood vessels, nerves, deep skin tissues, and fibrous tissues.
In a statement, Janice’s family expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and support received during her illness.
They shared that Catherine peacefully transitioned surrounded by her family in her childhood home.
Janice’s brother, @the_last_cubby, will memorialize her Instagram page and oversee all matters related to her music, merchandise, and public relations, as per her wishes.
Just a few days after receiving hospice care, Janice gained widespread popularity with the release of her hit song, Dance You Outta My Head, dedicated to her 7-year-old son, Loren.
The song quickly soared to the top of the Billboard chart by the third week of February and has been featured in over two million TikTok videos.
In a poignant TikTok video where she revealed losing her battle with cancer, Janice received overwhelming support from her fans in January. She pledged that all proceeds from her final song would be donated to charity, urging her followers to pre-save it for release.
