Samuel Chukwueze has commenced his fitness training in preparation for Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe’s Brave Warriors in November.

He is working diligently to recover from a thigh injury he sustained during international duty for Nigeria against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.

This injury, a biceps femoris strain in his left thigh, is expected to keep him out of action for about a month.

Unfortunately, due to Chukwueze’s injury, he has missed some crucial matches for AC Milan, including a 2-2 draw against Napoli.

Despite AC Milan’s head coach Stefano Pioli granting the squad two days off after the Napoli match, Chukwueze and other injured players like Ismael Bennacer, Mattia Caldara, Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Simon Kjaer, who suffered a muscle problem just before the match, continue their recovery work at Milanello.

Chukwueze can be seen working out in the gym alongside his injured teammates as they strive to regain their fitness.

It’s worth noting that Milan has faced a considerable number of injuries in the 2023-24 season, with 12 of them being muscle-related out of a total of 19 injuries.
