The Nigerian Army faces criticism following the viral video of six candidates in its 86 Regular Recruits Intake exercise falsely claiming Lagos State indigenship.

The candidates initially presented state-of-origin and local government identification certificates from Lagos but later identified themselves as northerners when confronted.

This sparked outrage, with many Nigerians accusing them of scheming to take slots allocated to Lagos indigenes.

The incident highlights concerns about transparency in recruitment processes and calls for corrective action by the Nigerian Army.
