A Federal High Court in Abuja has approved Senator Aisha Binani’s request to prevent the prosecution of the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Yunusa-Ari in Adamawa State.
This decision follows an interim order previously issued by the court, which had directed INEC, the Attorney General of the Federation, and the Inspector General of Police to refrain from prosecuting Hudu while the case was pending.
Senator Binani’s motion ex parte was filed by her attorney, M. K. Aondoakaa, SAN.
However, the judge, Donatus U. Okorowo, has lifted the interim order, emphasizing that one should not approach the Federal High Court to stop proceedings in a court of coordinate jurisdiction.
