Customs Comptroller Chedi Wada expressed concern over smugglers using fake presidential number plates and other governmental institutions to transport vehicles across Nigeria.
Wada emphasized the Customs’ commitment to thwarting such tactics and protecting the integrity of the presidency. He highlighted the Customs’ ability to identify fake numbers and impound vehicles with fraudulent plates.
Wada acknowledged media support in educating the public on Customs regulations and urged Nigerians to understand the Customs Act, emphasizing the need for collaboration to combat smuggling and economic sabotage.
The visit by Bashir Rabe-Mani from News Agency of Nigeria aimed to strengthen the relationship between NAN and NCS, fostering continuous collaboration against illicit activities in the region.
