The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has officially enlisted three key oil marketers associations as distributors.
These associations—Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, and Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria—were confirmed in a statement released by the Dangote Group.
This registration empowers them to distribute the refinery’s products upon commencement of operations, contributing to a more efficient petroleum product distribution network in Nigeria.
The Dangote Group has announced the successful registration of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, and Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria as distributors for its petroleum products.
This milestone, disclosed in an official statement, is poised to enhance the streamlined distribution of petroleum products across Nigeria, marking a significant advancement for the country’s oil sector.
Additionally, the Dangote Group is actively considering partnerships with more marketers interested in collaborating with the refinery. Notably, the refinery initiated production of diesel and aviation fuel on January 12, 2023, as reported by The PUNCH.
This development is anticipated to positively impact the Nigerian oil sector by boosting both production and distribution of petroleum products.
Earlier reports indicated that MOMAN and IPMAN had already registered to market Dangote refinery products nationwide.
While the Dangote Group has not disclosed the market availability timeline or the initiation of Premium Motor Spirit production, the refinery’s overall objective is to diminish the country’s reliance on imported petroleum products and drive down fuel prices.
