Delta State Government Celebrates Efe Ajagba’s Victory Over Joe Goodall.

Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has expressed his joy and congratulations for the remarkable victory of Efe Ajagba, the Nigerian-born boxer, in his match against Australian Joe Goodall, held at the Tahoe Blue Event Center in Stateline, Nevada, USA.

Ajagba, a powerful World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight contender, secured a fourth-round knockout win in their 10-round main event.

This victory was particularly sweet for Ajagba, as it avenged his previous loss to Goodall at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland.

In a statement issued by Sir Festus Ahon, the Chief Press Secretary, Governor Oborevwori commended Ajagba’s well-deserved victory and also recognized the support from Nigerian music star and former BBNaija winner, Michael Efe Ejeba, who walked Ajagba into the boxing ring.

The Governor praised the strong bond between the two Delta State natives, Efe Ajagba from Ughelli Kingdom and Efe Ejeba from Okpe Kingdom, highlighting their indomitable spirit.

Oborevwori conveyed the pride of Delta State in Ajagba’s success, emphasizing that this victory marked the first successful defense of his WBC silver heavyweight title.

He commended Ajagba’s courage, discipline, and his ambition to become the undisputed World Heavyweight Boxing champion.

The Governor expressed his belief that Ajagba’s achievements on the global stage would serve as inspiration for aspiring boxing professionals, encouraging them to believe in themselves for future victories.

He also wished both Efe Ajagba and Efe Ejeba a bright and prosperous future in their respective boxing and music careers, and he emphasized his commitment to harnessing the potential of Delta State’s youth for the development of the state and the nation.
