In Lagos, the fifth season of the Dolphins Swimming League, the premier private school swimming competition, is set to kick off on Saturday, November 18.
The event will showcase the talents of 11 participating schools, including hosts Grange More Schools, defending champions Meadow Hall, as well as St Saviour’s Children International School, Lagos Preparatory and Secondary School, Lagoon/Whitesands, Greensprings Lagos, Riverbank, Italian Priory, and the newest addition, Boken Aquatics.
Endorsed by the Nigeria Olympic Committee and the Nigeria School Sport Federation, this competition played a significant role in producing medalists at the recent National Sports Festival in Delta State.
Tournament coordinator Oluseyi Oyebode expressed excitement about the schools’ enthusiasm, stating, The showcased excitement encourages us to innovate each season.
Oyebode also highlighted the league’s impact, noting, We’re thrilled that, in a short time, the tournament has produced national champions.
With new schools like Atlantic Hall joining, we hope for further additions as the season progresses. The league is committed to enhancing officiating quality and showcasing inspiring performances by the swimmers.
