Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, expressed profound sorrow over the tragic demise of Mr. Olugbaye Taiwo, the bus driver of the abducted pupils from Apostolic Faith Nursery and Primary School in Emure Ekiti.
Governor Oyebanji conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pledged to pursue the perpetrators of this heinous act and bring them to justice.
Following their abduction, the pupils and teachers were thankfully freed on Sunday morning and are presently undergoing medical care at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital in Ado-Ekiti.
Governor Oyebanji stressed the heightened vigilance of security agencies in the state and affirmed the government’s unwavering determination to eliminate criminal elements.
His statement underscores the commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all Ekiti State residents.
