Emeka Emekesiri, the founder of the Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN) and Chairman of the Governing Council of Customary Government of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has offered advice to the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi. Emekesiri urged Peter Obi to return to his village and cease his efforts to rescue Nigeria, as he believes the country is beyond saving.
According to Emekesiri, the injustices committed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Judiciary, and international powers in the alleged election of President Bola Tinubu have rendered any attempt to save Nigeria futile.
He recommended that Peter Obi focus on his private life as a successful trader and direct his energy and resources toward helping his people, rather than attempting to salvage Nigeria.
Emekesiri expressed disappointment with the Supreme Court of Nigeria’s refusal to consider evidence of wrongdoing by Bola Tinubu, stating that it eroded confidence in the judiciary’s independence.
He warned that such actions might lead the people to take matters into their own hands to free themselves from what he perceives as a state of impunity in Nigeria.
