Following series of reports concerning menace of traders displaying there goods on walkways putting pedestrians on harm’s way The Council Chairman of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa has warned traders trading on walk ways of major roads within the LCDA to desist from or face the wrath of the law.
Famuyiwa who spoke through the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) Chief Akinwunmi Odeyemi gave this stern warning today at the Community Development Committee Meeting (CDC) held at the Council Secretariat today 30th May 2024.
He stressed that the traders have remained adamant despite several appeals to desist from such act. He emphasized that such act is common along Kola, Abule-Egba, Command and Oke-Odo roads and that henceforth deviants will be seriously dealt with.
The CDC Chairman Mr. Ernest Kasumu decried the unpatriotism and dis-orderliness amongst people stressing that such act will hinder development. He urged the local government to carry on with their enforcement and sanitize the roads.
The CDC meeting holds monthly, a forum where executives of all Community Development Associations (CDA) within the LCDA meets to discuss issues germane to their communities and other developments as it relates to the LG and the state.
