The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has affirmed that the N585.18m grant for vulnerable groups across four states underwent proper government due process.
The ministry explained that the payment to Oniyelu Bridget, the Project Accountant for Grants for Vulnerable Groups, was in line with civil service regulations.
The leaked document, which sparked social media discussions, was clarified by the ministry as a memo seeking approval for the payment.
Critics had raised concerns about the allocation of the substantial fund to an individual’s account, prompting the ministry to address the situation.
