A fierce fire broke out early Friday morning at the Lagos State Government Staff Quarters on Odunsanmi Street, Ogba, causing extensive damage.
The fire, which started around 2:20 a.m. in the children’s room of Flat 5, Block 21 in the 16-flat building, was believed to have been caused by an electrical surge.
Thanks to the prompt response of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, and the Nigerian Police Force, the fire was contained and extinguished, preventing any loss of life or injuries.
