The deal promises the release of hostages and a temporary halt to the intense conflict in Gaza.

Tragically, the initial Hamas-led attack on October 7 resulted in the capture of about 240 people, with approximately 1,200 lives lost in Israel.

In response, Israel launched a campaign, resulting in over 14,100 casualties, mostly civilians, according to Hamas.
