Chief Saheed Oladele, the Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of Ibadanland, is rallying indigenes and stakeholders to back his initiative, aiming to bring over 300,000 out-of-school children in Ibadan back to education.
Recognized by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) as the Grand Ambassador of Ibadan Culture, Chief Oladele emphasizes the pivotal role education plays in breaking the cycle of poverty.
The ceremony, attended by dignitaries, marked the opening of the Baàmẹ̀kọ́’s office and the inauguration of directors, each committed to realizing the vision for Ibadan’s development.
Barrister Ajewole, CCII President-General, lauds Chief Oladele’s three-decade contribution to education, noting the city’s proud legacy as home to Nigeria’s first university.
Vice President-General 1 of CCII, Dr. Tirmisiyu Oladimeji, commends Chief Oladele as a tested and trusted advocate for education, citing successful outcomes at the Erudite Millennium Limited educational institution.
