The newly appointed Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) and Commissioners of Police (CPs) were officially adorned with their new ranks by the acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, during a traditional and ceremonial event at the Nigeria Police Force headquarters in Abuja.
This gathering witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including the Governors of Abia, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Kogi, and Lagos states, along with Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, and the former IGP, Usman Baba.
The IG, as reported by Force spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi, encouraged the newly promoted officers to uphold the fundamental values of service, sacrifice, and selflessness in their duties and applauded their commitment and hard work, which led to their well-earned promotions.
