Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, paid a visit to Bayelsa State on November 6, 2023, in preparation for the upcoming gubernatorial election.
During his visit, he engaged with various stakeholders, police officers, and security agencies.
A statement released on Tuesday by Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, revealed that the IGP held a meeting with Bayelsa State Governor, Sen Douye Diri, at the Governor’s Office in Yenegoa.
In this meeting, he assured the people of the state of a forthcoming election that would be free, fair, secure, and credible, scheduled for November 11, 2023.
Furthermore, he encouraged the governor, who is also a candidate in the election, to advocate for peace among his supporters in the state.
