The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has stated that the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas is already negatively impacting the economies of neighboring countries.

The Managing Director of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, made this statement during a Saudi investor forum called the Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh.

She highlighted that countries like Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan are experiencing visible economic repercussions due to the conflict.

Furthermore, Georgieva warned that the war could have significant adverse effects on the global economy, particularly if it draws in other nations and affects tourism-dependent countries, leading to increased uncertainty and costs.
