The incident that took place at the Nigeria Post Army Estate in Abuja on Thursday night. The victims, identified as Barrister Cyril Adikwu’s wife and in-law, were abducted in the estate’s Phase 2 area around 10:00 p.m.
According to neighbor Austine John, the kidnappers fired shots into the air during the incident.
While Barrister Adikwu managed to escape, his wife and in-law were taken by the perpetrators. John stated, We heard gunshots around 10:00.
I quickly secured my gate. Gunshots were heard in the barrister’s house, and we informed the estate’s management, who arrived shortly after the army. Unfortunately, the kidnappers had already taken the victims.
The community is distressed by the events, and John called on President Tinubu to intervene and put an end to such barbaric acts by kidnappers.
