Lagos Secure $1.3 Billion Funding For Fourth Mainland Bridge Project.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced on Tuesday that the state has finalized an agreement with the African Export-Import Bank and Access Bank to invest $1.352 billion in the development of Lagos infrastructure.

This significant milestone was celebrated during a signing ceremony at the second Africaribbean Trade and Investment Forum 2023 held in Georgetown, Guyana.

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that this substantial investment will play a pivotal role in realizing key infrastructure projects, including the Fourth Mainland Bridge, the Omu Creek Project, and the second phase of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Blue Line, which extends from Mile 2 to Okokomaiko.

We are dedicated to shaping a brighter future for Lagos and its residents, stated the governor, highlighting their commitment to the city’s growth and development.

He also underscored their progress towards realizing the vision for Lagos, which includes significant initiatives such as the Lekki-Epe International Airport and the Lagos Food Systems and Logistics Hub in Epe.

These ventures are expected to stimulate economic growth and provide long-term benefits for future generations.
