He also committed to approving N5 billion for the construction of a permanent orientation camp.
Governor Sanwo-Olu pledged to offer 100 outstanding corps members automatic employment in the state’s civil service upon completion of their service year, urging them to uphold the values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork instilled during their three-week orientation program.
Governor Sanwo-Olu addressed the NYSC members, saying, The past three weeks have been a journey of transformation, where you have learned to navigate new environments, form connections with fellow citizens, and embrace the challenges of communal living.
This experience has prepared you for the road ahead and has instilled a deep sense of unity that transcends ethnic, cultural, and regional boundaries.
As you depart this orientation camp and begin your primary assignments, remember that this program has been a catalyst for national unity.
This camp has been a microcosm of Lagos State’s diverse cultural landscape, and you have experienced firsthand the power of unity in diversity. I am confident that you will carry this understanding with you as you contribute to the growth of Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
He encouraged them to engage actively with local communities, tackle challenges with determination, and contribute to projects that foster positive growth.
As they embark on this new chapter, they should always remember to uphold the values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork that have been core to their experience.
As you all depart this camp, remember that your future is bright with promise, and you are now empowered with the skills, perspectives, and determination to make a real difference.
The experiences of the past three weeks have prepared you to face the challenges and seize the opportunities that await you, he added.
