The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association took a stand against the kidnapping of Justice Joy Unwana, an Oron high court judge, and the tragic killing of her orderly, Inspector ThankGod Edet.
The lawyers, led by Oron NBA chairman Torosco Eyene, staged a protest, urging the government to tighten security measures and fix the Oron-Nsit Attai road.
Eyene condemned the kidnapping as a wicked act and called on Governor Umo Eno and law enforcement to ensure the prompt release of Justice Unwana.
The lawyers also expressed concern about the state of roads in the region, emphasizing the need for government intervention and investigation into the circumstances of the abduction.
