Manchester United fans are feeling the pain of their recent struggles, especially when Davido, a popular musician, chose to poke fun at them following their 4-3 loss to FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League.
This defeat added to their ongoing woes, as they now find themselves at the bottom of their group and facing a tough challenge to progress in the Champions League. With only 18 points from 11 matches, they are also languishing in eighth place in the Premier League.
United’s form has been far from impressive, and their defeat to Copenhagen only accentuates their ongoing issues. Even Davido couldn’t resist taking a swipe at their predicament, asking why they seem to be constantly in a state of complaint.
United fans, in response to Davido’s taunt, expressed their frustration, with one fan saying, Davido, that’s how we watch matches every week. I’m tired, while another lamented, No one can explain, we just feel pains from everywhere every week.
Despite his claim of not being a big football enthusiast, Davido’s connection to the game can be traced back to his visit to Old Trafford in October 2021 when he sported a No. 7 jersey in admiration of Cristiano Ronaldo, who played a pivotal role in United’s comeback victory over Atalanta in the Champions League that night.
Since then, he has made notable appearances at the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar and the PFA Awards in England, impressing the crowd with his performances.
