The recent public lecture at the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) Ikeja Branch in Lagos.
The experts underscored the significance of collaboration among manufacturers to cultivate a thriving ecosystem and propel industrialization.
Dr. Paul Alaje, Chief Economist, stressed the need for expansive collaboration within the manufacturing sector and beyond, urging manufacturers to unite through mutually beneficial initiatives for global competitiveness.
Government support in energy, security, and infrastructure was highlighted as pivotal for sector growth. Mrs. Odiri Erewa-Meggison, Chairman of MAN Export Promotion Group, emphasized meaningful collaborations for the association’s shared vision, emphasizing sustainability and resilience in a dynamic landscape.
The call for collaboration extends to academia, aiming to innovate infrastructure, refine policy frameworks, and address regulatory bottlenecks, particularly for SMEs.
MAN President Otunba Francis Meshioye praised the harmonious relationship between the Lagos State government and manufacturers, stressing the need for sustained collaboration for economic prosperity.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu acknowledged manufacturers’ contributions to the state’s economy and emphasized collaboration’s role in fostering growth and development.
