In Akwa Ibom, the National Association of Nigeria has inaugurated a new executive board committed to collaborating with the state government and security agencies to tackle petroleum-related crimes and foster a conducive environment for legal enterprises.
Mr. Benneth Korie, NOGASA’s national president, highlighted during the induction event that these changes would positively impact Akwa Ibom’s oil and gas supply sector, emphasizing the importance of creating an environment conducive to product distribution and marketing.
Dr. Billy Harry, the National President of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria, stressed the historic significance of the joint inauguration, envisioning it as a catalyst for overcoming industry challenges and ensuring affordable petroleum products for the average consumer.
NOGASA’s state chair, Dr. Sam Osung, affirmed his commitment to promoting ethical commercial activity, expressing enthusiasm in leading the association’s chapter in Akwa Ibom and vowing to collaborate with government bodies and security organizations to combat irregularities in the downstream supply chain.
