The incident where a mysterious woman abducted a newborn from the postnatal ward at Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH) in Lafia, Nasarawa state.
Mrs. Adeyemi Bolatito, the mother of the stolen baby, recounts the theft that occurred around 5:00 am on Thursday, revealing that she had given birth via cesarean section at 2:00 am.
The baby was in the care of her younger sister, Yetunde, who unwittingly introduced the deceptive woman, claiming she needed to leave briefly.
The strange woman, entrusted with the baby, later vanished under the pretense of bathing the child, prompting a thorough investigation by Dr. Muhammad Basit and the involvement of security agencies.
The hospital, equipped with extensive security measures, is collaborating with authorities to address the alarming abduction.
