Nigerian Presidency Clarifies Reassignment Of Officials, Emphasizes Transparency.

The Nigerian Presidency has clarified that the Director-General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, and NDIC’s Managing Director/CEO, Umaru Ibrahim, were not sacked but reassigned.

A statement from Femi Adesina stressed that their removal was not punitive, emphasizing their good standing with the government.

In a subsequent statement, the Presidency clarified that Babatunde Irukera and Alexander Ayoola Okoh were also not dismissed but reassigned within the government.

Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga highlighted that this was a routine part of government operations and not a disciplinary action, expressing confidence in their continued contributions.

Onanuga’s post detailed broader personnel changes, addressing promotions and the government’s commitment to civil service reform for enhanced efficiency.

He encouraged citizens to engage, provide feedback, and cautioned against misinformation, emphasizing the government’s dedication to transparency and serving the public’s best interests.
