The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Olusola Odumosu, urges divisional officers to prioritize community involvement in security operations.
Odumosu delivered the directive during a meeting with Divisional Officers held at the Command’s headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.
Highlighting the importance of community participation in combating current security challenges, Odumosu emphasized the necessity of engaging stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes.
He encouraged officers to collaborate closely with traditional leaders, youth organizations, hunters, and vigilantes to address prevalent cases of kidnapping and other crimes in the FCT.
Emphasizing the accessibility of NSCDC offices to the public, Odumosu urged officers to leverage this proximity to gather intelligence reports.
