The Ogun State government, under Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration, reaffirms its commitment to supporting poultry farmers.
Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Bolu Owotomo, assured this commitment during the 12th edition of the Nigeria Poultry Show 2023, addressing challenges such as the high cost of feeds.
The government plans to provide an enabling environment, enhance security, and encourage cluster farming for maize production to ensure a consistent supply for the poultry industry.
Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya, emphasized the government’s role in the sector, while Poultry Association leaders stressed the sector’s significant contribution to the nation’s economy, urging increased budgetary allocation to agriculture.
