In the past two years, Ogun State’s Bondsmen Scheme, led by Chief Judge Dipeolu, facilitated the release of over 2,800 individuals from correctional facilities. Since 2018, approximately 500 inmates have been freed, highlighting the dedication to providing a fresh start.

Chrysalis Bail and Bond Limited, along with Egba Kelisco Bail and Bond Limited, were the licensed bondsmen contributing significantly to alleviating congestion in correctional facilities.

From January 2021 to October 2023, these efforts resulted in the release of over 2,800 individuals, demonstrating a balance between public safety and individual rights.

Chairman Justice Abiodun Akinyemi reported that only 25 out of the 2,800 defendants absconded, with 16 later rearrested.
