Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is currently in Nigeria, where he continues his recovery from an injury sustained during a recent friendly match with Saudi Arabia, as reported by Corriere dello Sport.
While his teammates traveled to Germany for a Champions League game against Union Berlin, Osimhen chose to go to Nigeria for personal reasons, a trip that had been planned in advance.
It’s expected that he will remain in Nigeria for at least another 30 days before returning to the pitch with his Napoli teammates. Notably, several top clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain, have expressed interest in signing him.
Napoli is still keen on extending Osimhen’s contract, but discussions have hit a snag due to a dispute related to TikTok. Despite the uncertainty around his future,
Osimhen has made an impressive start to the 2023/24 season, scoring six goals in eight Serie A appearances.
