In a significant development, members of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum are currently in a private meeting with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. The meeting is taking place in Wike’s office in Abuja.
This gathering, spearheaded by Bala Muhammed, the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Bauchi state, saw the participation of governors from Adamawa (Ahmadu Fintiri), Plateau (Caleb Muftwang), and Taraba (Agbu Kefas).
Shortly after their arrival at Wike’s office at approximately 12:40 p.m., Wike guided the governors into a closed-door session.
The purpose of this meeting is to address the ongoing crisis in Rivers state, which emerged on Monday amidst allegations of attempts to impeach Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers state. More details will be provided soon.
