Presidential aspirant Faduri Joseph, from the Labour Party for the 2023 general elections, strongly criticized the extravagant expenditures of both the executive and legislative branches of government.

He expressed his concerns during a press conference held in Abuja.

Faduri decried the situation, stating, “During this administration, the National Assembly indulged in the acquisition of luxurious cars valued at over N160 million per legislator.

Furthermore, we’ve recently learned of the President’s intention to spend over N5 billion on a yacht, alongside significant allocations for the First Lady’s Office to purchase high-end cars, all while the masses are burdened with high fuel prices and a soaring cost of living, without any relief.

He emphasized that the President’s call for Nigerians to endure and persevere seems incongruent with the government’s lavish spending.

Faduri concluded by urging the President to consider the lasting legacy he wishes to create, to become a transformative force in Nigeria’s history, and to embark on that journey starting now.
