The Nigerian Correctional Service in Katsina State Command has announced the successful recapture of two inmates who escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre on October 17, 2023.
The statement, signed by ASC Najibullah Idris, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, and released on Wednesday, detailed the coordinated efforts of a joint search party formed immediately after the escape.
The initial recapture of Ibrahim Muhammad Lawal, also known as Abba Kala, was swiftly achieved through collaborative actions with sister security agencies.
The statement highlighted the subsequent deployment of advanced e-tracking technology and a combination of overt and covert intelligence gathering to locate the second fugitive, Musa Isah.
These concerted efforts culminated in the successful apprehension of Musa Isah in Kaduna metropolis on December 19, 2023, showcasing the effectiveness of the NCoS Katsina Command’s operational strategies and technological capabilities.
