Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, have reached a consensus to peacefully address legal matters surrounding properties jointly owned by both states.
Fubara emphasized the importance of fostering cooperation, expressing a commitment to resolving shared assets in Rivers State amicably.
The meeting, aimed at renewing brotherhood and preventing administrative boundary disputes, took place during Fubara’s New Year’s visit to Senator Diri’s residence in Bayelsa.
Fubara acknowledged the role of peace in development and praised Diri and the people of Bayelsa for their support during the political crisis in Rivers State.
Senator Diri reciprocated the goodwill, appreciating Fubara’s initiative for a mutually beneficial working relationship between the two states.
