Rivers United kicked off their 2023/24 Confederation Cup group stage with a commanding 3-0 win against Academia do Lobito in Uyo on Sunday.
Stanley Eguma’s team secured the victory with goals from Samuel Antwi, Paul Odeh, and Shedrack Asiegbu.
The win places Rivers United at the top of Group C on goal difference. They are set to face Dreams FC at Cape Coast Stadium next week Sunday.
