In the 2024 Appropriation Bill, the Federal Government allocates N460,217,071 for the State House’s Materials and Supplies,’ with N253,277,638 earmarked for foodstuffs and catering supplies.
This budget, part of President Bola Tinubu’s Budget of Renewed Hope, emphasizes financial planning, resource management, and growth priorities.
Under Materials and Supplies, various allocations include N66,719,333 for office stationeries/computer consumables, N6,427,173 for books, N21,296,484 for newspapers, and N253,277,638 for foodstuff/catering materials supplies.
Additionally, N260.8 million is set aside for electricity bills, N50 million for internet access fees, and N372 million for utilities, encompassing electricity and internet access.
The budget also designates funds for building maintenance, insurance, travel, training, healthcare, sports, and recreational activities.
Utility costs like telephone fees, water rates, and sewerage fees are outlined. Notably, N217 million is allocated for fuel and lubricants, crucial for motor vehicles, generators, and cooking gas to ensure the State House’s efficient operation.
