The FCT Police Command has successfully rescued five kidnap victims from separate gangs operating in Abuja.

The joint effort involved the FCT Special Intervention Squad and the FCT Police Anti-Kidnapping Unit, as announced by SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer.

In response to a distress call on January 27 regarding gunshots in Sabon Lugbe, a police patrol team discovered a woman with a gunshot wound in a Toyota Corolla.

Identified as Blessing, she disclosed that she and her husband were attacked by hoodlums who abducted him.

The collaborative efforts of law enforcement led to the safe rescue of the victim from Kuje Forest, while the perpetrators remain at large.

Additionally, on January 28, two men reported an attack at Idu Gbagyi mountain, where armed criminals abducted three individuals.

Despite the criminals evading capture, the police successfully rescued the victims, Igbodi Emeka, Precious Uche, and Eric Chukwudi, unharmed.

The FCT Police Command continues its investigation to apprehend the perpetrators and urges citizens to remain vigilant, reporting any suspicious activities.

They reaffirm their commitment to public safety and express gratitude for the community’s support and cooperation.
