According to reports from the Kano State Police Command, Nurudeen Shehu, a 37-year-old security guard at Prestige International College in Kano, tragically took his own life.
The State Police Commissioner, Usaini Gumel, confirmed the incident, stating that Shehu was found dead in one of the college’s classrooms on January 28th.
Abdullahi Abdulsalam discovered Shehu’s lifeless body hanging in the classroom around 10:30 am that day.
Police from the Gwale Division, led by the DPO, intervened, untied the rope, and transported the body to Murtala Muhammed General Hospital.
Sadly, the attending doctor confirmed Shehu’s passing, and his family received his remains for burial.
The motivation behind Shehu’s decision appears to stem from his ex-wife’s remarriage to another man, as reported by PUNCH Metro.
Commissioner Gumel assured the public of a thorough police investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding Shehu’s tragic demise.
