President Bola Tinubu, true to his commitment of ensuring FOUR YEARS COURSE MUST BE FOUR YEARS COURSE, swiftly enacted the student loan bill on June 12, 2023, a mere 12 days into his presidency.

This significant move, emphasized during the APC’s 2014 campaign, is now a reality, marking a pivotal moment for Nigerian students.

Initiated by former speaker Femi Gbajabiamila in 2016, the student loan program is a strategic step towards eliminating strikes that have previously disrupted academic timelines.

President Tinubu’s vision extends beyond local boundaries, fostering transparency and accountability in the education sector.

Notably, the scheme aims to attract foreign investment in Nigeria by allowing students to secure loans for courses offered by institutions with branches within the country.

In a recent announcement, the President expressed his commitment to inclusivity, incorporating those interested in vocational education into the scheme, ensuring that no one is left behind.

President Tinubu’s relentless dedication to fulfilling campaign promises reinforces the notion that time is of the essence, and his actions are shaping a transformative path for Nigerian education.
